Fashion- Burgundy Series- Part 1

September 15, 2017

Transitioning from summer to fall isn’t always the easiest, especially when you’re in denial that WINTER IS COMING (sorry I had to).

As much as I love fall, I really enjoy the warmth of the sunshine, along with the attire- skirts, shorts, and crop tops. Fall has its’ advantages as well, the layers, the darker colours and especially my favourite- burgundy! I wanted to do a mini fashion series about this all-inclusive colour, because everyone can pull it off, regardless of their skin tone or hair colour.

In the first of this three part fashion series, I styled a more casual burgundy top with more upscale accessories. Since it’s still fairly warm out and to transition from summer to fall, I decided to incorporate this grey skirt and black strappy heels (especially since I didn’t want my pedicure to go to waste).

For this look, I  wanted to focus on the burgundy colour of this top and add pieces that complement it. I chose black accessories; like these big sunglasses (they remind me of ones that Miranda Priestly would wear in the Devil Wears Prada) and a fun bag (which adds some colour to the whole look). To tie in the skirt and overall look I chose this grey/crystal sparkly necklace.

Here’s to embracing fall!
